I have had this beautiful picture of the temple sitting in my house waiting for a place to hang for two years+ now.
It was a wedding gift from mine and Josh's singles branch president. He took the picture himself and made the frame from barnwood.
It really is beautiful and I felt bad I couldn't find a place for it.
Then, one day, I had a bolt of lightning to my brain.
Duh. Brinkley doesn't have a picture of the temple in her room. And it's probably pretty important that she does.
So, we had a family home evening all about the temple and then made a big deal about hanging it above her bed.
She calls it "Brinkley's temple" every night when she goes to bed.
And we taught her that it is Angel Moroni on top of the temple.
So, this weekend we were in Columbus so Josh could work in the temple. The whole day Brinkley kept asking if she could go to the temple too. So, on our way out of Columbus, we drove her by the temple.
She said it was 'big' (even though the Columbus temple is actually pretty small) and then she pointed out Angel Moroni.
Cute. Man, we love her.

You guys are such great parents. I LOVE that picture he took and framed. What a thoughtful gift. Brinkley is one smart girl!

PS-my girls have that same shirt, one of my favs.
That is so cute! It is so lovely to see childrens reactions to the Temple.
Natalie and I took I nephew and niece to the London Temple around their Birthday and they loved it. Freddie kept saying "Jesus and the angels live in there" as he pointed to the Temple. And both of them tried opening the door to get in:)
Yippie for temple pictures in the bedroom, yeah for snow days, woop woop for potty training, and I love that little princess.
