My Latest Celebrity Lookalike. More than Just a Pretty Face

So, today, Josh and I were at the Verizon store getting new phones (woo hoo! our phones were getting so old they were like big flip-phone dinosaurs). The guy helping us, Mike - who wore purple and doesn't like football (a sin in Pittsburgh) - said to me:

"I just figured it out!"

I looked at him with a look of confusion.

He continued. "I have been trying to figure out who you look like the whole time I've been helping you... and I just figured it out!"

I looked at him with a blank stare and then gave him a half smile to urge him to continue.

Mike says, "You probably get this all the time."

I still don't know who on earth he could be talking about except perhaps that one girl who was on a Yoplait commercial once - I've been told probably twenty times that I look like her
(Her name is Leisha Hailey, ironically, and here is that commercial if you want to see it).

"Now, don't be offended," he says, "but you look just like Sarah Palin!"

Offended?!? Was he joking? Does he not watch the news?

She may be a wee bit older than me, but does Mike know how many people think Sarah Palin is hot? Just look at this Annual Travel Issue for Alaska... America's Hottest Governer!
(Oh, and there's me too so you can do a quick comparison).

The other people at the counter all looked at me and murmured their agreement. I felt slightly embarrassed at that moment having eight strangers checking out my dorky ponytail and five year old glasses (I need an eye appointment...) . Not to mention my toenails have red chipped polish on them and I just happened to wear flip flops. I'll bet Sarah never shows off her poorly painted toenails.

I said, "Thank you."

What do you think? My ponytail is not as poofy, but that could change as I get older, wiser and more political. My nose is also wider, but let's not go there.
