Yay for Labor Day!

Well, Josh has only been in his anatomy course for one week and I already deeply appreciate those who have decided the world needs a day off so that I could spend it with my honey. We got a list of stuff to do in Pittsburgh from my Relief Society president and on that list was a farmer's market called Soergel Orchards which sounded cool - so we decided to give it a whirl. It is a place out in Wexford where you can go pick your own produce... well, we didn't actually pick our own fruits and veggies - we just got them from their cute little store. But, nonetheless, it all tasted wonderful. We got fresh corn (the kind that squirts your neighbor when you eat it - yum yum!), plums, bell peppers at a fabulous price, and muskmelon, which I discovered is just a strange name for cantaloupe. There was a a bakery where we ate lunch, a garden center, playhouses for the kids, and a cute little gift shop. They also have a cider press - so we'll be sure to go back in the fall for a Halloween treat! (Mom, put that on our list of stuff to do when you visit!)
I just have to mention, that everywhere we go people stop us to tell us how adorable and chunky (I call it healthy) our little Brinks is. I totally agree. She is stinkin' cute. Anyway...
Sadly, we had to come back home to studying and laundry, but we had a good time.

That fruit sounds so scrumptious! How fun to go get fresh fruit, instead of that 'picked too early' stuff! I'm glad you got to spend time with your honey. :) I totally know how you feel ;)
