First, Brinkley got her very own package from her Grandma Becky with a dress in it. Woo Hoo! We just love new clothes. It will be oh-so-cute on her!
Josh got a book in the mail - "Rational Medical Decision Making." Sounds fascinating, doesn't it? I'm sure it's a real nail biter - a keep you up until 2:00 a.m. cause you can't put it down type of book...Actually, I'm not sure we can count this as 'exciting mail' because we paid for it. That takes MOST the fun out of getting mail, but not all. It's still fun to see that manila envelope with your name on it.
Lucky me! I entered to receive a FREE Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Kashi cookie online. I have been anxiously awaiting its arrival - and it finally came. They're Good and good for you! Life just doesn't get any better than this.I really enjoyed that cookie too. As you can clearly see in the photo below.
Yum... Free Cookie.
Lastly, this lovely package just arrived today from Grandma Kathy (and a big thanks goes to Aunt Luann as well). I was sitting on my front porch, talking on the phone with my friend Sarah- when to my surprise the UPS man shows up - with a big box for us! 'Yay!' I said. 'A package for me???' I may have freaked the nice UPS man out. I think he thought I was going to hug him, which would have been weird if you think about it.
Within the box were these darling decorations to put in Brinkley's room. The crib bumper pads are in the crib and she is holding the dust ruffle. We also recieved a curtain (rod included - talk about efficient). Thank you thank you thank you!On top of all this excitement, I had a photo shoot with Brinks yesterday (that has nothing to do with mail, I realize, but I couldn't think of a smooth transition). I took about 150 photos - most of which were blurry - and have posted some of the cutest ones here.
I just can't get enough of how cute this baby is! How did we make such an adorable little thing?

Greets, you TOTALLY don't remember me. I went to High School with Josh and met you at Brittany Szymanski's wedding. (See, I told you you wouldn't remember)....
Anyhow, found you via another HS friends' blog and was excited to see you were in the great state of PA as well, even if it's the other end. Let us know if you ever want to explore SouthEast PA, we're nearly pros! (Or if you want to meet somewhere middleish, we love Gettysburg and Amish country).
Good luck with the med-school widow thing!
Man, and I thought I was bad about the mail...but if I was getting things like that...
Love the pictures!
I use to do that with Lucy! What am I saying, use to! It is so fun to see the images you can capture!
Don't you just adore motherhood!!!
How fun!!! I totally understand the whole mail thing cause every time I go to check the mail and there's nothing there it makes you a little sad but when there is mail you like jump for joy inside. All the pictures of brinkley are sooooo cute!!! I love reading your blog and you do very good at keeping everything up to day too. I need to do better. Hope all is well.
I love those pics of Brinkley! You're a great photographer! I also love mail. I never had a mailbox cuz we had a PO box growing up so I think it's awesome having a mailbox to walk out to and get my mail! And I get excited when we get anything with my name on it. Dumb, I know.
