Hmm. Have I mentioned I love it here?
I live an hour and twenty minutes from the Palmyra Temple! That's my temple!
How cool is that?
So on Friday of Josh's week off: Josh and I got to go to the temple - together!
We left our kids with some WONDERFUL friends (the Kjar's) and made the lovely drive to Palmyra.
We got to talk the whole way. Without interruption.
That never happens.
And then we got to talk the whole way back. Without interruption.
So great. It's been a while.
When we got to the Kjar's our kids didn't want to leave. So, they forced us to go to dinner, kid free! Apparently, they all had an agenda, a walk in the stroller and ice cream. And we were thwarting their grand plan. Geez. Sorry.
So we did.
We went to dinner at this place called Daniella's Soft Serve and Seafood.
I'm serious.
And everytime I drive past it, it is packed.
I know why now.
They know how to fry food. Holy Cow.
Best onion rings ever. I can't wait to try everything on their menu.
And the soft serve is pretty great too.
(I also had to join the YMCA so I could work off all the weight I gained this week - ha ha)
Josh also had the weekend and Monday off, but because we had such a fun-filled week, we had to use these days to catch up on the boring grown up stuff we had to do.
(including fix our mailbox which got hit by a car. Three mailboxes on our street got demolished by the same car one drunken/asleep at the wheel night... I'm not sure which. But I do know the sound of the crash woke us all up though we didn't see the damage until the next day.)
It was a super fun week. I wish we could do it all the time.
Now it's back to work for Josh. He's such a champ.
