So, I splurged.
A while back, I saw a newborn picture with a baby in an antique kitchen scale.
I had to have one.
I have absolutely no need for a kitchen scale besides taking a picture in it, but I just knew it would be worth it.
So, I scoured ebay for a while during my sleepless nights and finally found a great one for a great price with reasonable shipping. (And since my good friends bought me a great diaper bag, I had some money in the budget for this.)
I kept waiting for the right moment to take this picture (Darcy had to be sleeping very soundly, and Brinks had to be down for a nap as well) and that moment never came. I tried a few times to get the photo, all were unsuccessful. She either woke up or Brinkley wasn't napping or something else went wrong. I kept looking at the scale knowing my time was running out for Darcy to fit in the bowl I glued on top (thanks mom!)
Finally, yesterday, that moment came. I really wanted to nap while both kids were asleep, but I busted out the camera instead. I'm so glad I did! Besides, I got a nap today. So worth it.
A tummy full of excitement and $23.00 later, here you go...

I love them. I think the picture with Darcy doing a half smile in her sleep is adorable. I'm glad you included your oldest daughter and husband since I am the one who accused you of leaving them out. oopsie! Am I a bad sister?

man oh man, you are going to have a TON of luggage when you come to visit! You know... having to pack all your props and stuff *wink, wink*

I love the picture of Brinkley at the end! She is adorable! I can't wait to have a baby and have you take pictures for me. I LOVE the scale and bowl. What a great eye you have for photography and props, you are so talented!
