(perhaps I should just keep up with it)
So, here's my plan... I will do a post for each person in the family! An update on what each of us has been up to for the past {ahem} month.
I'll start with Josh.
It has actually been a big month for the hubby. He finished 2nd year and jumped right into his 3rd year of medical school. They celebrated this occasion with a "Pinning Ceremony" at the very beginning of May. Or was it the very end of April? Oh, dear. I can't remember.
Well, regardless, he got to wait in line and have a little pin pinned onto his white coat.
It was, um, exciting. Yep. My favorite part was the watermelon and cookies afterward.
The cool stuff came with his first rotation.
He has been doing his Internal Medicine rotation, which is supposedly one of the hardest rotations. It has been an adjustment for all of us. I see him a lot less. He had quite a few late nights (preparing us for residency I suppose). But he likes it! He is learning so much, so fast! And now all these diseases and stuff he has been studying about are now a reality. He is so modest, it's hard for me to get a real good idea of how he is doing... but I have gotten enough out of him to know that he is excelling at this.
His attending doctors and residents have all liked him and tell him he is currently at a 'high pass' for this rotation and on his way to honors (if he can 'manage the patient' better, whatever that means).
He is good with patients, they like him! Plus he is a hard worker and I am sure everyone notices.
He hasn't had much time for many other things in his life because on his Saturdays off, he tries to get everything done that he doesn't have time for during the week.
However... there is light at the end of this tunnel. He has July basically off. It's a research month, so he'll have to work on that, but he'll also be around for our new baby girl to to be born. Yippee! We both agree that you can do anything for two months. :)
Way to go Joshy!

It's been a long time since I checked blogs and I swear your Brink has changed into a whole other person! She looks so grown up with those fabulous curls. Congrats to Josh on getting "pinned" and congrats to you for making it this far in the pregnancy. Glad to see everybody's doing well!
