Brinkley

Brinks just keeps growing up. I tell her to stop it, but she won't listen. In fact, she ignores me a lot. More like selective hearing, really. I know she understands everything I say because if I mention words like stroller, candy, outside or park - she is all enthusiastic and happy. But when I say to her "Brinkley, it's time to do your hair" or "Bedtime!" she conveniently can't hear a word I say. Pretty impressive huh?
She does love to play though. Outside or inside. She keeps herself pretty entertained.
She loves to color, read books, go on walks or rides in the stroller and pretend to talk to family on the phone. She'll grab a play phone, my phone, an ipod, or a calculator and pretend to talk to her grandmas' and grandpas' and then she'll start spouting off everyone she can remember: Chachel (Rachael), Becca, Jude, Dax, etc. I am amazed at her great memory of her family! It's awesome!

Here she is chatting with someone on the ipod.
Oh, you can also see that her hair is now mostly long enough to go into a ponytail! How fun!
Here's another shot of her ever growing hair (finally!)

She is most definitely a 2 year old. It's incredible to me how she can go from this:
To this:

Within a matter of seconds.
We have our days. Sometimes I feel like throwing a fit right along with her :)
Being a mom is not the easiest job I've ever had, but even on our bad days, she never fails to give me a hug and remind me that I am the most important person in her life.

I have proof:

She is also going through kind of a messy phase right now. She had one of these a while back, where she would pull every single thing off shelves and out of cupboards. I thought we were past that... nope. She's at it again. I can't keep up with her! Hopefully it is just that - a phase. :)

Oh, and some random things, here she is eating corn on a the cob.
Yay! A new food she likes!

And porch sitting with daddy.

Such a cute girl, I love her curly hair. Good luck with medical school and the rest of your pregnancy and new baby when she comes! So exciting!
