Firestone

Headache.

That's how I describe cars.
Especially when you move to a new area. You have to get your new driver's licence, register your car, get the emmissions and inpsecitons, etc.
Headache.

At the DMV I was there nearly three hours. I was ready to chuck something across the room. Preferably at someone who was giving my kids dirty looks for running around. I want to say "think you can do better? Give it a whirl."
I packed toys and snacks and everything.
But of course their favorite activity was running back and forth through the building.

Then we had to get the emissions and inspections done. Our landlord knows a guy at Firestone and said he would take care of us.
We were there another three hours.
On the bright side, they had a box of toys. (The DMV should seriously consider doing that.) And the Olympics were on, so I got some enjoyment as well.
The downside (or so I thought) is after they fixed all the stuff that was wrong (nearly $600 worth of stuff - yikes!) I had to go back after driving 100 miles.
After I drove my 100 miles I told the girls we were going back to Firestone. To my surprise they started jumping up and down in excitement! They must have really liked those toys.
So we went back and had a good time.
Now whenever we pass it, Brinkley says "Hey! There's the Firestone! We should go back there one day mom."
I hope not, I can't afford it.
