These are the beautiful yellow Easter dresses my mom gave to the girls when she was here.
Aren't they adorable?
I love that they are twinners in them.
They wore them to church when she was here, so naturally I had to spoil them and also get them Easter dresses (not matchy-matchy. I wasn't that lucky in my search).
However, disappointingly, I didn't get a chance to get their pictures in them today because the minute we walked in the door from church, both girls had spilled food, paint, jello, dirt and whatever else they could find on their dresses.
I'll have to wash them and get pictures later.
We had a wonderful Easter. We really enjoyed church (great Sacrament meeting speaker and a musical number that knocked my socks off).
We came home and found the hidden Easter baskets. Filled up on candy. Took a nap (just me and Darcy... I should clarify because Brinks NEVER naps. Boo).
Made a fabulous ham dinner complete with mashed potatoes, asparagus, jello, rolls and grape juice.
Took a walk with the girls and took pictures of the all to quickly passing spring (I'll post those later too).
Ate cake and ice cream outside (we were lucky the weather permitted, we woke up to rain, but it was perfect by this afternoon). Then we had a little Easter lesson, provided by me because I am awesome.
Put the girls to bed.
Josh and I read a little of Jesus the Christ together (amazing. and oh so many big words)
Now I am blogging. What a great day.
I love my family, and I love our Savior Jesus Christ. He fills my life with joy and all good things.
Hope your Easter was just as wonderful.
*Update*
Here are some pictures of our Easter Sunday:
Darcy eating mashed potatoes... kinda.
Brinkley's dinner. She had two bites of jello. Stabbed her fork in her roll and then ran into the other room like a crazy person. Cause she is one. Yep.
It took a minute, but Josh found his Easter basket. Good job, Josh!
I was trying to coax Brinkley into finding her Easter basket. I told her to "look."So, she tilted her head to the side and lazily gazed around the room.
I guess I need to be more specific.
Then, she gave me this look, she's like "I don't get it."Or "you're crazy."
Could be either one.
(Do you like the little 'stash she's sporting?)
But never fear, she did find her Easter basket!
