I have been waiting a year... A YEAR for Antique Week to roll around again.
It did not disappoint.
It was just as crazy and huge and overwhelming and AMAZING as last year.
I scored a few treasures.
Yes I did.
Another globe to add to the tradition. But not just any globe. A light up globe!
Just like the one on While You Were Sleeping.
Love that show.
A giant metal, rusty, dangerous arrow.
Needs a paint job.
It's awesome.
And it's not like a bow and arrow, arrow. It's like those giant metal letters people buy.
Only it's an arrow, not a letter. They were out of M's... for McBride, ya know?
A vintage fan.
And the lady I bought it from put it in a 'naked boy bag' as she called it. A Hollister bag!
Ha ha. Still makes me giggle.
Naked boy bag.
What's funny about that, is that silly bag got a little bit of attention as I walked around with it.
Mostly middle aged ladies.
Adorable vintage aprons for the girlies.
Aaannnndddd... That's all I had room for on the double stroller.
My friend Mari came a long with me this year. She found some treasures as well.
AND she managed not only to find a giant metal 'K' but it was on sale. That lucky lady.
We were nuts and lugged 4 crazies around with us. But they did pretty good considering.
Apparently, antiquing isn't that fun for kids. They don't understand why they can't play with the toys on display. Because they're $100 dollars. That's why.
Count our many blessings though, the weather was fabulous.
And we ate yummy greasy food. Bloomin' onions and scones. Yummmmmmy!
After much deliberation with Mari, here's our grand plan for next year:
We're gonna leave the kids home.
We'll get a trailer and camp there too.... all week long... lots of people do it.
OR if necessary we'll settle for a tent. They have showers there we can use.
Oh, and we'll need jobs to earn lots of money to spend.
Because I could spend a million dollars at antique week.
Think we can become millionaires by next summer?
One more thing, we would need a truck... No wait! A Uhaul to lug all our new-old stuff home.
And since I'll have all that stuff I'm gonna need a bigger house.
Our husbands will be so happy with that plan.
I HEART antique week!
