Thanksgiving at the Cracker Barrell

We had fabulous plans for Thanksgiving.
Our neighbors, the Callisters, invited us to eat a feast with them on Thanksgiving Day!
I was in charge of the pies.

And then we all got sick.

Yep, puking kids all over the place. Darcy got it first, and had it for what seemed like forever. Then Brinks caught the bug. I felt like my life for 4 days straight was calming sick kids, cleaning up their vomit and doing countless loads of laundry.
By the time Thanksgiving Thursday rolled around I didn't dare expose the neighbors , especially their new twins to this horrible bug, even though by then no one was puking anymore. You just never know, you know?

So, we decided to eat out (And risk exposing strangers instead).
Eat out on Thanksgiving.
I have to be honest, I was kind of excited. After all, we may never get the chance to eat out on Thanksgiving again. (I say that as if I want to do it again... I don't).

Cracker Barrel serves Thanksgiving dinner. We went there!
Um, it was so crowded. Packed.
There was a 25 minute wait.
Did you know that families do that? Eat out for Thanksgiving Dinner?
I didn't. I thought everyone ate at their grandma's.
Those poor Cracker Barrel employees. They were completely overwhelmed. I hope they got dinner too.
We had all the normal Thanksgiving foods... turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberries, pumpkin pie.

It was nice.

But definitely not as good as Grandma's.

On that Thanksgiving note, I just have to say how thankful I am for my two cuties.
They are my whole life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Their giggles and smiles make my life totally worth every minute.
I love them so much.

And what would I do without my good-lookin' man?
He adores his girls. Everything he does, he does for his family, and it doesn't go unnoticed.
He wakes up well before the crack of dawn everyday to go to work, he studies even when he doesn't want to, and he does it all for us.
The best part of my day is when he walks in the door. And even if I can't run to greet him because I'm changing poopy diapers or burning dinner, I hope he knows how grateful I am for him and the sacrifices he make for his family.

Those are adorable pictures of the girls. I loved reading your new posts. You are such a great mom and wife and I am always amazed at the artsiness in you! Brinkley is lucky to have a mom do those fun things with her. I hope I can be more like you. The Children's museum is so much fun, why does it have to be so darn expensive! Looks like it was a blast though.
