Last weekend, we had a dental student (Josh) from Ohio State University come and stay with us while he completed some clinical hours here in Pittsburgh.
To thank us for letting him stay at our house, he wanted to take us to dinner. Sweet.
He told us he wanted to try this place his mom had seen on the Food Network. As he scrolled through his texts I kept thinking to myself "Oh no, please don't be Primanti Bros... please don't be Primanti Bros."
Sure enough, Primanti Bros.
It's not that I hate it. It has an awesome atmosphere and is totally Pittsburgh-y.
He should eat there just to see what it's all about!!
I just wasn't sure my pregnant stomach was up to it. My stomach wasn't really up to it when I wasn't pregnant! The first time we went I think my sandwich sat in my stomach for 3 whole days before my body knew what to do with it.
Josh (my hubby) must have seen the look on my face because he quickly told me, "you don't have to eat their sandwiches. They have other things too."
So, off we went to Primanti Bros.
Josh and Josh (don't get confused now) ordered the famous sandwiches there...
Some sort of meat, like corned beef, stuffed in the bread with cole slaw and french fries.
I had one of those sandwiches once... once was enough for me. So, I ordered Pizza. Good choice.
I think our guest wishes he would have gotten pizza too! Though he was good not to complain. He didn't really compliment Primanti Bros. either.
But now he can tell his mom all about it!
Brinkley seemed content to just color most of the time.
Until the hockey came on... then she was pretty intent on watching that. Imagine that, my daughter likes to watch hockey! Go Penguins!
(Even weirder... the first time we went to Primanti Bros., it was the Penguin's opening game night, and she was glued to the TV then too! She really does like hockey! Maybe we should try and get to a game while we're here)

That gives me hope that when Micah finally convinced me to go to Primanti Brothers there will actually be something I can eat. I will definitely get the pizza!
I can't do the sandwiches there either. But last time we went I tried a chicken salad and it was really good.

When we come out we won't go to Primanti Bro. :) I know Josh! We see eachother at school all the time! Small world!
I love that Brinks is trying to color in the lines. She has been taught well. She is growing up so fast. She looks like she will be ready to be an older sister. Your hair is getting long! I forgot you went dark.
