Bookworms

I'm raising my child to be a bookworm...

We LOVE the Library. Brinkley and I go together once a week!
First we peruse through the craft, interior design, and home organization section. Then we stop by the cookbooks. On occasion we look at the parenting books... not that I need any help. Ha ha. Then we make our way to Brinkley's favorite part - the children section!!

Brinkley loves books just as much as her mama!

When ever I let her loose with her toys at home, she always heads straight for her books.
She'll flip through one, pick up the next and read it, and then on to the next book, and so on! Only after she has looked through her books will she start playing with her other toys.
It is so cute!
Her favorite book that she has is one called "One Oogly Eye." She got it for Halloween from her Grandma Ginny. It's about monsters. Funny ones. Not scary ones.

Anyway, back to the Library...
We go to the children section where they not only have books, but TOYS!
One afternoon we were all alone in the room, so we stayed a while and just played. We had a good time and checked out some fun books.

First we picked out some books. This one was about fairies.

Next, we tried out the big blocky things. They were frustrating, so that didn't last long.

Brinkley found the Lego Table.

And then she built this:

(Heh heh. Just kidding. It was already there. She did knock it down though.)

Then she crawled under the table. In this picture she is blowing air through her lips. It's a trick she learned at swimming lessons.

All that playing made us hungry, so she cooked us up a meal in the little kitchen. It sure would be nice if she would do that at home too.

Then, back to the Lego table it was. But she forgot to use her library voice...

Shaler Library is so awesome. Do you guys do the Book Babies storytime? The lady who does it (or did it when Carter was little) does a great job. That is so fun how much she loves books. What a cute little tyke she is.

I am loving her little comb over...so cute. And her video reminds me of the home video of you saying DuDuDuDuun! Like mother like daughter.
