Just a normal afternoon

Cinderella Pose.

Ariel Pose.

The Tackle and Kiss

I'm not sure why it gives me such pleasure that I got this entire movement in pictures.
Perhaps because it shows exactly what my life and my children are like everyday.

Standing Up

Wow. It's crazy how quickly something can become old news when you have a baby.
One day she's just crawling like a madman all over the place and the next she's standing up all by herself.
Then you decide to blog about it and she's already taking a few steps here and there. Standing is easy peasy by now and I am just barely getting to documenting it. Geez. Slow down girl.
That, or I need to be more on the ball.

Darcy is an extremely fast learner and exceptionally mobile. She climbs, stands, and moves so well. I guess you could say she is very coordinated!
I can't believe how quickly she has grown. In just a couple short months she'll be one. Goodness.

Relief Society Yard and Bake Sale

On the 26th, our Relief Society had a Yard/Bake Sale.
We all cleaned out our basements and closets, brought our stuff to the church, displayed it all on tables and shopped like it was a thrift store! When you had got all the stuff you wanted, you then "bought" your stuff by donating money to the church Humanitarian Aid Fund. Our original idea was to send it specifically to Japan, but other disasters have happened since, so we weren't particular... we just donated.
We raised over $320.00!!
It was amazing! I was not expecting to raise that much, especially since we live in a ward full of poor students living on loan money. I was in awe at everyone's generosity.
It turned out to be a perfect night. Even though the power was out, and I was sweating like crazy.
All the leftover stuff was donated to Goodwill.
We cleaned out our houses, we got other people's good stuff, we donated money to a great cause, and we also donated stuff to another good cause.
It was a win-win-win-win.
Oh, and we ate delicious goodies from the bake sale.
win.

Rain and Frowns

It was raining one afternoon, but as usual Brinkley really really really wanted to play outside.
I informed her it was raining. (Which usually deters her - she's not a big fan of getting wet).
But she insisted. She said, "I want to go outside. I want to get wet."
I agreed, thinking she would get a drop of rain on her and immediately head back inside.
To my surprise, she quite enjoyed herself for a short while.
It didn't last long... but she did manage to get a little bit wet. :)

After she'd had enough of playing in the rain, we sat under the canopy and sang "if you chance to meet a frown..."

More Nastics

I finally got brave enough to tote my camera into gymnastics class.
I'm so glad I did. How cute is she?
I'll be so sad when this is over.

At the end everyone gets stamps on their hands, feet tummies, and a secret stamp on the bottom of one foot. Too cute.
