Smartypants

Josh officially began Medical School classes today, beginning with the hardest course ever (or so the rumors say) ANATOMY!!! It's a seven week course and they jump right in by dissecting cadavers this week... ewe gross. Good thing Josh is so brilliant, he's going to do great. It's also a good thing he doesn't get grossed out by dead bodies. I would fail that class just as soon as the scent of formaldehyde hit my nostrils.

(P.S. for those of you who may not know, Josh is attending Medical School at the University of Pittsburgh, or 'Pitt' as we call it)

Anyway, he looks great in his white coat.

TAKE LUCK JOSH! Brinkley and I will miss you while you're at school. Kisses!

Expensive, but worth it...

My mom called me this morning with wonderful news!!! She is coming to visit us in Pittsburgh on October 23rd! She's had enough, she can't take it anymore, she MUST see Brinkley! We're so so so excited. PLUS this will give me the motivation I need to get my house all in order. I need to unpack the last of my boxes, hang pictures, get her some sort of bed to sleep on, and deep clean! Let's get started, I can hardly wait!

The Last 5 Months in a Nutshell

Hallelujah! We have internet! And, to brag a little, I hooked it up all by myself without Josh's help. So, this is for all you patient people who have been waiting and waiting for us to finally update our blog... the last 5 months in a nutshell.

March: We moved in with my parents

April: I finished up pregnancy

May: I stopped being pregnant and had my baby and Josh graduated from Weber State in Microbiology and Chemistry
May 5th: Brinkley Mae McBride was born (she deserves her own line) and she is the most wonderful baby on the planet
June 8th: Brinkley was blessed

July 4th: We went camping - love it

May-July: We enjoyed 3 wonderful more months with my parents and they grew incredibly attached to Brinkley

August: We drove across the country and moved to Pittsburgh for Medical School

So, there it is.

Thus far, we really enjoy life as Pittsburghers. I was surprised and alarmed when we drove into the city because everything is ridiculously tight and close here, but you get used to driving around the skinny streets really quick. I at least know where the grocery store and Walmart are, so I'm set. You also get used to being honked for not getting out of an intersection fast enough. We have nice, nebby neighbors (definition of nebby: nosy Pittsburghers) and have made many friends already. Our house is great! I'll be sure to get some pictures of it up when everything is officially unpacked and in place.
Brinkley sure gets a lot of attention here, we get stopped all the time so people can look and tell us how cute she is. She is growing up. She can now roll over, and she giggled for the first time the other day.
We're very happy, but we miss our family!!!
