Pickin'

We went blueberry picking!
It was incredible.
Even writing that adjective feels a little strong, but it really was!
Incredible!

It was like a wonderful sensory overload.
We drove out into the country.
The corn was growing, there were these rolling hills surrounded by trees.
The sun was shining, the air was fresh.
I have not seen something so beautiful in such a long time.
I probably just need to get out more, but still, it was simply gorgeous.
And just what I needed.
I needed to be surrounded by beauty. To be inspired by it. To have nature fill me with happiness.
Am I being sappy? Do I care?

Oh, and the blueberries!! yum. We ate almost as many as ended up in our baskets.
The kids were happy, and I was happy.
And we were with good friends to boot.
Thank you Mari for being more spontaneous than me.
And for having such a cute kid!
(If Darcy and Jonah get married 20 or so years down the road... I have some great pictures for their wedding video.)

I want to do it again and again.
But the blueberries only have 1 more week left. Better get crackin.

I think I see apples in our near future. Lots and lots of apples!
