Zoo & Dinner & Other Residents

To welcome all the new interns, Josh's residency program had a dinner at the Zoo!
They even had all the kids meet an elephant. I was guarding our dinner from theives, so I missed the kids petting the elephant, but alas, I got a few pictures of the rest of our evening.

It was kind of fun and kind of awkward to meet all these people.
1. They are all pediatricians. So when your 23 month old climbs between the fence into the flamingo pond during the 2 seconds you take your eyes off her, it can cause quite a ruckus.
I would know. It happened to me.
2. They are all pediatricians, so they think your kids are the bees knees. Even if they are wild and crazy.

After looking at the monkeys and peacocks (the only 2 parts of the zoo they left open to see), we began to feel awkward and out of our comfort zone. So, we headed back home to our familiar surroundings.
I think Josh and I may be getting more introverted in our old age. We'd both stay home all day if we could. Well anyway, we made our appearance so we didn't look antisocial. Pat on the back.

Here is the pond that Darcy felt the need to see up close and personal just to freak everybody out.
