Uhh. Rap? Hip hop? What's going on with my 3 year old?

Okay. So, let me preface this by saying I don't actually listen to a whole lot of music. I wish I were more into it, but I'm not. That's more Josh's thing.

But, I do always listen to music in the car. And on occasion I am known to blast a few songs.
I'm not super picky about the genre. If there is a song I like - I listen to it. If I don't - I change it.

One song I always change is "Blow" by Ke$ha.
Ugh. Hate it. Couldn't tell you why. Just do.


But, we were driving home from the mechanic the other day and 'blow' came on. I, of course, immediately changed it. But then Brinkley started whining about something. I couldn't figure out what it was and kept guessing things and she was getting frustrated.
Finally, we communicated and I gathered that she wanted the 'girl song.'
Yep, 'Blow.'
Oh my.
So, I turned it back for her and she was a happy camper. When we got out of the car, she said "I like that song."

What's going on?? Has it started already? Am I already the old mom that hates her daughter's music?

You know what other song she likes?
Honky Tonk Badonkadonk (Trace Atkins) - which I also like, so that's okay.
(hey, it's funny, don't judge me)

Oh, and how can I forget - Black and Yellow (Wiz Khalifa).
Brinkley loves this song.
I guess she is truly a Pittsburgher. Black and Yellow. Ha!
Everytime it comes on in the car, she gets so excited.
"It's yellow and black mom!"
