On the Farm
Every Friday in our ward we have a 'park group' that gets together and goes to various parks throughout Pittsburgh. This past week we had a friend in the ward who volunteered to take us around a farm where she and her husband work!
It was sheer AWESOMENESS!
Brinkley and I had such a good time.

We picked fresh flowers...
And fresh {very yummy} vegetables. Aren't they beautiful?!?!
We made fajitas with the bell peppers and topped them with cilantro.
We still have to come up with a way to use the kale and leafy rainbow stuff.
Amanda caught a sheep and we got to cut off some wool to take home.

We saw chickens and got to see inside their little coop. We got to take home a freshly laid egg!
Brinkley got stuck in this metal thingamajig.
And we got to spend time with lots of friends!
What a perfect day!

I have a recipe for Zuppa Tuscan, the soup from Oliver Garden that calls for Kale. I really liked it, I can pass it along, or I like to use the Kraft foods website to find recipes, they have a cool feature that allows you to type in what ingredients you have and it finds recipes to match (sometimes it works better than other times.)
But what a fun day at the farm!
That looks like a fun little trip to the farm. Too bad you don't have cows near by like in Utah
How fun! We have a play group that gets together weekly too. It's like the highlight of the week! Brinkley is just too cute.
I think I have a new favorite picture. It looks like you two had a blast! I miss you all. We will see you in less than a month!
