Yup. I bought some little tiny elastics and put my daughter's perma-mohawk into a little girly ponytail right on top of her head!
I can already tell you this is going to be a 'special occasion only' kind of a doo because not only is it tough to get her to sit still and stop grabbing at her hair - I can barley squeeze my chubby fingers through the dang elastics!
I have a new admiration for those moms who do their little girls hair cute everyday.
Wow. What a talent!
This took me 10 minutes to do and it doesn't even look that great!
Don't get me wrong - I think my baby girl is adorable no matter what her hair looks like, I just didn't realize that it takes some serious skill. I guess I need to start looking at all the mommy hair blogs now.
Besides, it is definitely better than her long strip of hair falling in her eyes all day!
Oh, and here is a video. We had gone out to dinner one night and I was fortunate enough to catch all of this (including her gut laugh):

I always get a good laugh at your blog posts! Brinks looks like she belongs on the Grinch with her hair up in a pony on top of her head. I do think its so cute with the little clip on the side in the video! I have to admit I watched the video twice, and laughed both times at her scrunching her nose up and lifting it in the air! She is too funny!

Hayley- She is so cute! She is just so full of personality! I love her little ponytail, and I have to say that it doesn't usually take me even 10 minutes to do Tally's hair. So don't worry you'll get used to it....you might have to wait till she grows more hair though!

Hayley, Hope you don't mind that I looked at your blog. Love the little ponytail! Brinkley has the same hair that our 2nd daughter had....fine. Thanks for being such a good neighbor to Laurel.
